Not What Marshall Should Have Heard!

Sorry for the delay in the newsletter....but Christmas seems a bit more important than a newsletter. We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

We here at Planet Rams try our best to understand Rams fans displeasure with the Rams and especially the Front Office that has like a surgeon, systematically dissected this team to near nothingness. And yes, they should be angry with the likes of Shaw and Zygmunt.

But there comes a time when you need to draw the line. There comes a time when you simply need to show some class. And the St. Louis fans couldn't even muster up enough class long enough to get through Marshall Faulks "Moment".

You want to boo Shaw and Zygmunt, fine. But during the retirement of the #28 simply was not the time to do it. Faulk did not deserve that embarrassment. And despite it all, Marshall Faulk proved he had more class in his little finger than the entire fan base of St. Louis.....he thanked you.

With that being said, please go over and read what BeaverRam has to say this week.

Officials Do Show Favortism

No, not saying the officiating may have changed the outcome of the game, but what I am saying is that they do call the games differently for teams who have far better records than for teams like the Rams. I can back this statement up with a comment from Darrel Johnson who was announcing the game. "The Rams really can't expect to get calls coming their way with the way their season has gone this year. That's just the way it is in the NFL." Think about that one folks, the next time you think the refs are being bias....you might just be right. With that being said, go over and check out what Eliasdad has to say about this weeks game.

John Shaw

We've given out Week 15's Golden Heart Award so make sure to go over and see who earned our illustrious award this week.

Voodoo Anyone?

Well, what else could it be? Have you ever seen a season such as this? Like the memorable words of Mammie (from Gone With the Wind) "It ain't right, it just ain't right." And with that said, take a gander at what the old WatchDog has to say this week. Nope "It ain't right, it just ain't right.".......

Will the Remaining Rams Resort to Garlic Necklaces?

As always, the team has been graded so go check out what Planet Rams dished out as compared to what the Pros dished out.

Grading Out

And yes, we did find someone to hand our our illustrious Golden Heart Award to this week.

Golden Heart

Several things will be coming up in just a few weeks that we hope you will get involved with.
  1. Planet Rams MVP Awards....OK, so the season sucked, but there's got to be someone that did something better than others did on the team, so let's give due credit to those who did play well. We will have a list of players for each category, that we would like for you to vote on in just a few weeks, so please look for that notice and where to find the polls once they are activated.
  2. Golden Heart Player of the Year.....Right now despite the record a few names should come to everyone's minds, so when we've got the candidates posted, please vote for your GHP of the Year.
  3. Planet Rams Writers.....Once the season is over and we go back to writing every other week, we will open it up to anyone who would like to join our staff and try their hand at writing for Planet Rams. We like to recruit newbies during the off season when it's less hectic. If you have a desire to write, why not give it a shot and write about your favorite football team? All that's required is a sample of your writing which will be reviewed and we'll let you know within a few days one way or another. So think about it and when the writing staff opens up, we will put a notice on the website and in the newsletter.
It's a thankless job, but it gives you the opportunity to vent without anyone bantering back at you disagreeing with your personal opinions, say like on a blog or forum! So if you're looking for a soap box....you'll find it at Planet Rams!

Nice Job Receiving Corp

This game was probably the best all season for the entire receiving corp. Bennett made some great catches, McMichael got to visit the end zone and Torry, despite his ongoing knee problem still made it a living hell for the Falcons corners all day. And well Bruce, simply once again showed why he's Canton bound!

This weeks feature article has been written by GeezerRam so make sure and go see what the "Old Geezer" is up to.

I Don't Think I Have Any Fingernails

We've awarded the Golden Heart for week 13 so make sure you see who was bestowed with the illustrious honor this week.

Golden Heart

We've handed out the grades for this week so see how we ranked the team this week after their outing against the Falcons.

Grading Out

Don't forget we'll be asking for your players whom you would like to see be put on the list for the Golden Heart Player of the Year and the 2007 MVP's, so put your thinking caps on and submit your candidates for voting to planetrams1a@hotmail.com! We'll be compiling the candidates once the regular season is over with.

Make sure and check out the Tailgate Recipe section this week. We got some stuff to warm you up during the cold months of winter. Enjoy!

Two Down and Six More To Go

For the miracle run I've been praying for. And that's all I've got to say about that, so without further adieu, I encourage all of you readers to go on over and read what Eliasdad had to say this week.

The New GM

The team has been graded for this week, and we still continue to urge all of you to go over to the site and put in your 2 cents worth. We'll post your grades and your comments right on the site. So come on, before the season's over give it a shot.

Grading Out

We've also picked our Golden Heart Winner for the week so make sure and check that out as well. And don't forget if you think someone else deserved it, then let us know and we'll make sure and give the credit to the person you think is worthy.

Golden Heart

Podcasting on Planet Rams has met an early demise. For several reasons we have discontinued our podcasting.
  1. Simply not enough interest from people.
  2. Too many technical problems with the hosting server.
  3. Too time consuming with everything else that has to be done on the website and with the newsletter.

Since our appetites have picked up a little since our last two wins, make sure and check out our 5 new tailgate recipes! Enjoy!

GO RAMS!

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone

One Down and Seven to Go!

That's right one down and seven more to go to complete our miracle run to win out. Sure most of you don't think they can do it, but then most of you probably didn't think we'd play the way we did on Sunday either, so that proves anything is possible and the way things are in the NFC West, it's even more possible. So I'll stick with my miracle hope for this week.

And believe it or not, this win finally got the old WatchDog out of his dog house, who's been in there licking his wounds for weeks, so make sure and go check out what the old dog has got to say this week.

Why to Believe in Marc Bulger

Make sure and check out the Golden Heart Winner for this week and we're still waiting for your involvement, the season is half way over and no one has even thought of a single player that stood out amongst the rest? There's got to be someone you'd like to see honored, especially this week.

Golden Heart

The team has been graded for this week, and how nice it was to give such high marks for a change!

And don't forget, you too can grade the team while you're checking out PR's grades! Get involved!

Jackson is....

The heart and soul of this team. That was proved the moment he stepped onto the field and lit a fire within the heart of every player and the moment he was taken out of that game, every fire instantly went out. I always shake my head at other teams when they build their entire team around one play and depend solely on them for success and always say it's their fault for being so narrow minded. And now we find our team in that exact same position. Not very bright on managements part. Not very bright at all.

This weeks article is brought to you by Eliasdad, we hope you'll take the time and go over and read it.

Quick and Painful

The team has been graded so go on over and check it out and as always you are more than welcome to send in your grades and thoughts by filling out the submission form we have available.

We've also given our our weekly Golden Heart Award for the player with the most heart. And don't forget you can nominate your own player as well.
